Thanks to all who participated, donated & made a difference for at-risk youth in 2016!
Highlights from 2016:
The days events, led by MarcUS for Change & SPEF, attracted a crowd of approximately 325 runners and raised nearly $65,000. More than 100 volunteers helped make the day special for more than 1,000 event attendees.
Stamford High Wins Spirit Award.... Again!
And a check for $1,000 (designated towards the school’s PTO) for being the Stamford school with the most affiliated 5K participants, coming in at 111 registrations. Cheerleaders from various schools supported runners and walkers at the start and finish line.
The US Day Celebration
US Day 2016 featured activities and entertainment focused on helping Stamford youth achieve healthy personal, academic, social, and career-ready skills for success. Festivities included the MarcUS for Change 5K Walk & Run, a multicultural parade led by Mayor David Martin, international dance performances coordinated by the Mayor’s Multicultural Council, performances by Pop Music Academy, and various Kid Zone activities sponsored by Kids Helping Kids.
